From Ninh Binh city, head north 6km, turn left for nearly 1km tourists will reach Thien Ton cave which lies at the foot of the Dung Duong Mountain in Da Gia Hamlet, Ninh My Commune. In Dai Co Viet time, Thien Ton was seen as the main entrance of Hoa Lu citadel.
Mua cave (dancing cave) is near Tam Coc (about 3.5km from Tam Coc). about more than 500 steps to climbing up the mountain, Mua cave is one of the most beautiful place to view in Ninh Binh. traveller can see the city far from the standing in front of, Tam Coc in back and the limestone mountain along to the south of Vietnam.
Pre Human habitation in Cuc Phuong dates back long before the park’s creation 7,000-12,000 years ago. Artifacts from that time have been found in numerous caves within the park, including human graves, stone axes, pointed bone spears, oyster shell knives, and tools for grinding. Ancient human cave is located in Cuc Phuong national park.
An easy bicycle ride away, Trang An Grottoes is similar to Tam Coc but with many more caves to pass through. Most caves have been widened in order for the boats to pass through and as result their natural beauty has been compromised. The first two caves are the most natural and beautiful but are also tight in places, so watch your head.
Located in Ninh Binh province, the Tam Coc caves are known as the inland Ha Long bay. It is 3 hours drive out of Hanoi. At the river docks, you board an open-air sampan which you hire with a rower. The boat ride takes you through a winding waterway which passes through 3 caves (Tam Coc).
